I just arrived home after a fantastic week in Japan where i played 2 shows at Club Citta in Kawasaki, Tokyo with Wishbone Ash.
Billed as a greatest hits show we played 2 sets each day. Firstly playing the Argus album in its entirety followed by a longer set, full of vintage Wishbone Ash classics.
The Japanese fans are amazing, sitting in silence listening to us and then erupting into a deafening appreciative roar between songs... I hope we can return to Japan and play for you guys again soon!
Also a big thanks must go to the top class crew over there and to Orange Amplification for supplying us with a wall of amps and Yamaha for the acoustic guitars.
The days after the shows in Kawasaki were spent by Kirsty and I exploring Tokyo, getting used to the metro system and eating and drinking (we had more luck with the latter)
We took a rickshaw ride around Asakusa where we visited temples, the geisha district and of course the oldest bar in Japan. We were also very lucky to be in town on one of only two days of the year when a golden dragon dance takes place outside the Sensoji temple.
