YouTube Music 5 Song Playlist - November 2020

I thought it would be fun to compile and share a monthly 5 song playlist on YouTube Music to give you an idea of what I'm listening to at the moment, then write a few lines about my choice of songs here.

If you are a user of YouTube Music why not search and follow my playlists - hopefully you will enjoy and maybe even listen to something new to you.

Royal Tea - Joe Bonamassa

The title track from the brand new Joe Bonamassa album recorded at Abbey Road Studios. There seems to be a lot of JB haters lately but I think he's great and I'm not sorry about that :-)

Great blues track with Joes trademark fat guitar tone and loads of excellent guitar playing and vibrato.

God's Land - Legacy

If you don't know about the band 'Legacy' you will definitely know about most of the band members. Legacy is a band formed by members of the band 'Dire Straits', Alan Clark and Phil Palmer and also features Steve Ferrone on drums (Tom Petty, Average White Band, Eric Clapton)

Check out their album '3 Chord Trick'

Pretending - Eric Clapton

Eric Clapton is a favorite of mine and i've always loved this track from his album 'Journeyman'.

I chose this live version from the '24 Nights' album (24 nights at the Royal Albert Hall) Partly because Erics playing is on fire on this one but also because this is one of the albums I learned to play guitar to and stole a lot of ECs licks :-)

Last Day - Silver Sun

Silver Sun were a British power pop guitar band formed in the 90s, they should have been massive but unfortunately never were although they did release 5 albums. Seen them live many times. I heard this week that the singer and main song writer James Broad lost his battle to cancer. RIP James x

I'd Rather Be Blind, Crippled And Crazy - Doyle Bramhall I'm a big fan of Doyle Bramhall, ever since I heard him playing guitar with Roger Waters.

I recently rediscovered Doyles album 'Fitchburg Street' and to me this is one of the stand out tracks on that album. Great groove, guitar and vocals.
